Step-by-Step Guide: How to Apply Online

 

Selection Process

Follow these essential instructions to ensure your application is submitted properly:

1.    Visit the Portal: Go to etc.hec.gov.pk to complete your online registration. For assistance with technical issues, use onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk.

2.    Complete and Submit Your Application: Ensure that all required information is entered correctly and submit your application before the deadline. Applications saved as Draft, Incomplete, or Pending will not be processed.

3.    Review Personal Credentials: Make sure your personal information, including your full name, CNIC, phone number, and email address, is accurate and consistent with your official documents. Registration using someone else's CNIC is not permitted.

4.    Deposit the Required Fee: Access your dashboard to generate the consumer number, then make the payment using 1Link / 1Bill services. Once the payment is successful, log back into the portal and verify the transaction online. The submitted registration fee cannot be refunded or transferred under any circumstances.

5.    Roll Number Slip Download: Roll number slips will be available on the portal and sent via email approximately one week prior to the exam date.

6.    Test Center Selection: Select your preferred test center from the list in the application form. Note that a center may be changed if fewer than 250 applicants select it.

7.    Important Rules for Exam Day:

Required Documents: Bring a printed Roll Number Slip along with your Original CNIC or Passport. Candidates under 18 without a CNIC must bring their Original B-Form along with an original SSC/HSSC certificate with photograph.

Prohibited Items: Electronic devices, cell phones, calculators, and recording or imaging equipment are strictly forbidden inside the test center.

Strict Penalties: Taking photos of or sharing the question paper is an offense liable to punishment under ETC rules.

Who Can Apply for LAT?

You may apply for the Law Admission Test (LAT) if you satisfy any one of the following eligibility requirements:

Applicants who have completed 12 years of education and possess an HSSC or equivalent qualification can apply for the relevant admission process.

Candidates who have appeared in the final Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examinations and are awaiting the declaration of their results may submit their applications.

8.    Application deadline: All applications must be submitted by 10 August, 2026.
